Voodoo Doll of the Month: Terri De-Lis Altilar

Voodoo Doll of the Month

Tattooed Girls Models Voodoo Doll of the Month Terri Altilar

I am very excited to present to you this months Voodoo Doll! A beautiful model from the UK who has been featured in many publications and who appeared on the hit BBC show “Don’t Tell the Bride”…it’s a great pleasure to introduce you to the lovely Terri De-Lis Altilar!!

Joey: Hi Terri!! I’m so super excited that we are featuring you as our new Voodoo Doll of the Month! Please tell the folks where you’re from and a little bit about who is Terri De-Lis Altilar?

Terri: I am so pleased to of been asked to be this months Voodoo Doll…Thank you! I am from a little town called Castleford near Leeds in the UK. I am a model signed by Spirit Models, I am however an alternative model as I am not your average looking model as I am heavily tattooed and have forever changing vibrant coloured hair. I have recently just got married to my amazing husband on a TV program called “Don’t Tell The Bride” which was the best day of my life despite him arranging everything and me not knowing any of the plans or been able to have any say over the big day… I am very business minded however part of my brain lives in a fairytale sometimes.

Joey: How long have you been modeling and how did you get your start?

Terri: I have been modelling professionally with Spirit Models for about 2 years but for many years before that it was a big hobby of mine that I wanted to change into a full time career one day. I think from a young age I was always into fashion and loved been in front of the camera so I think that’s where the love for modelling came from. However at school I was bullied a little (Standard, probably the same as everyone at school) however I was bullied because I didn’t quite fit in with everyone else as I didn’t follow the crowd and always wore and dressed what I felt comfortable in and what I thought looked good. I was also called many names as I was one of very few mixed race girls in the school. When I was 17 I was glassed by 2 girls which left scarring on my face, this really affected me and I thought that I wouldn’t be able to model anymore. As time went by my mindset changed and thought I would stand up for all the girls that do stand out and look different hence why I decided to pursue my dream career again.

Joey: You’ve been featured in many publications such as Skin Deep and Teen Spirit to name few. What magazine would be your dream cover?

Terri: I am yet to have a cover however would be a great achievement to be on the cover of Skin Deep magazine rather than inside but also Vogue would be like the greatest achievement ever but to be honest I think it would be amazing for any alternative model to be on the cover of Vogue as that would mean the whole industry is changing and accepting that you do not have to be a certain height, weight, look.

Joey: What’s your favorite type of shoot?

Terri: I absolutely love all shoots. I love working on any new projects and been able to meet new creative people… At the minute I am loving latex and fashion.

Joey: What was the first tattoo you got and the story behind it?

Terri: The first tattoo I had was horrendous!!! I was under age and knew nothing about tattoos. I didn’t realise that there are so many different types and every tattoo artists skills differ. I had a ying yang sign on my foot, I went into the first studio I found and picked number 35 off the wall. There was no thought behind it… I do regret it however it taught me to always do your research and to think about every tattoo you have.  This tattoo is now covered with a beautiful flower which is colourful, done really well and covers pretty much the top of my foot.

Joey: What movie title would best describe your life?

Terri: This is a really hard one as i have so much going on in my life to be able to describe it best in one movie title… an all rounder that would fit would have to be Pursuit of Happiness as thats is my ultimate goal in life 🙂

Joey: What actor would you want to play your love interest in a movie?

Terri: It would have to be Jason Statham, he is amazing… I sort of have an obsession with him! However, I am a sucker for a man with facial tattoos and a beard which is the other end of the scale to Jason.

Joey: What makes you feel sexy?

Terri: Great clothes can always make you feel so much better about yourself and obviously My hubby as he always makes me feel sexy even when I’m ill!

Joey: Name five things you can’t live without?

Terri: 1. My Pomeranian – Noah  2. My Hubby  3. My love for Unicorns  4. Music   5. Good Food

Joey: Terri I want to thank you so much for your time and for being a part of the Voodoo Dolls! Any final words or shout outs?

Terri: Thank you so much and thanks to all the readers really is a pleasure to have been asked! Thank you to everyone that I have ever worked with or helped me in anyway, shape and form. Thanks to my family and friends for putting up with me and pushing me to follow my dream and always see me for who I am and not what I look like. I have to mention my sponsors for this year as they are amazing and you are all missing out if you’ve never seen their stuff so go check out Alice Takes A Trip, Sick Plugs UK, Catalyst Latex (Images above), and Angels Tattoo Studio. I’d also like to thank two excellent photographers; Kate Robson Photography and Vivienne Edge Photography (images above).

I also need to share a little secret I have….. Unicorns are real!! BELIEVE!!

Voodoo Doll of the Month: Louella Deville

Voodoo Doll of the Month

Tattoos Tattooed Girls Models Voodoo Doll of the Month

Our Voodoo Doll of the Month for March is an internationally published alt/fetish/pin up fashion model who also is a singer/songwriter and actress. Her beauty is so alluring and sensual, that one look at this gorgeous model will leave you immediately captivated. We are honored to feature Louella Deville as the Voodoo Doll of the Month!!

Joey: Hey Louella!! WOW, I’m totally stoked and excited to feature you as a Voodoo Doll! Quickly tell the folks where you’re from and who is Louella Deville?

Louella: Hello!  I am a freelance model, a singer, writer, performer and pervert from Melbourne Australia.

Joey: How long have you been modeling and how did you get your start?

Louella: I started modeling when I was 17, so 6 years now. It began when I moved to Melbourne from my home town Byron Bay. I was working with a talent scout at the time, and through them I met some amazing talented photographers and people of the like.

Joey: What type of shoots are your favorite and which are the most challenging?

Louella: I don’t know if I have a favorite, I really enjoy all types of styles and concepts. I definitely enjoy conceptual shoots, with more of a darkness and edge. Fetish is always fun. Hmmm, most challenging would have to be when shooting in public places, you’re easily distracted by by passers and everyone wants to have a look, see whats going on.

Joey: What was the first tattoo you got and the story behind it?

Louella: The top of both my feet were my first. They define femininity and masculinity and are there to keep me balanced between the two.

Joey: You are staring in the new music video “Outta Control” by Kwasi, which happens to be our Music Video of the Week, tell us more about the video?

Louella: “Outta Control” was a fun project! The release was to give the fan’s of Kwasi’s music a taste of what his debut EP Strange Dreams will be like (which will be released next week). The concept behind the video was about Kwasi being inside a dream, and having a women (myself) perform voodoo on him (when I am playing with the doll in the start of the clip). As he drifts into his dream, he finds himself in a hotel room with a seductive lady. Its all about desire, how music can free you/ make you loose control.

Joey: Besides modeling you’re also a musician. Any new projects you’d like to tell us about?

Louella: At the moment I haven’t got much happening music wise. I’m doing a degree in Professional Writing and Public Relations, which is full time so its a bit hard to juggle studying with work, modeling and music. I am making a few tunes with Kwasi, but they won’t be out for awhile.

Joey: What movie title would best describe your life?

Louella: Legally Blonde. Haha jokes. Probably Life is Beautiful

Joey What makes you feel sexy?

Louella: Working out and lingerie

Joey: What’s your guilty pleasure?

Louella: Potato haha. Fries, crisps, vodka, baked potato. Everything potato

Joey: Louella thank you so much for your time and for being a part of the Voodoo Dolls! Any final words or shout outs?

Louella: It’s my pleasure, thanks for having me! Just keep it real, strive for your best and stay classy xox

Voodoo Doll of the Month: Heidi Lavon

heidilavon8

Joey: Hey Heidi!! I’m totally stoked and excited to feature you as a Voodoo Doll! Tell us who is Heidi Lavon?

Heidi: Heidi Lavon is a very much alive human being. To those who know me, they know that I have no problem speaking my mind. I say what I think needs to be heard.  Although, I am very extroverted, I do know when to show some discretion. That is something my momma always tried to instill in me at such an early age. I think she knew I was the trouble maker out of all of her daughters. All FOUR of us. Youngest and most certainly the black sheep of my whole family. I cant think of anyone else in my immediate family, as well as extended that has done the things I have done. Or adorn their body with as much art as I have. I am a true lefty. I rock a rough exterior but I’m really just a “mooshball” as a good friend at work would call me. I’m throwing you out there Ariel 😉 Even one of my new coworkers took one look at me and told me that when she first saw me, she said she thought I was going to be mean.  ME? Not even close. A true visionary, and always ready to take it to the next level. Try me.

Joey: When did you get into modeling and what are your favorite shoots?

Heidi: I have been modeling for about five years. I had a photographer contact me on Facebook actually and asked me if I was interested in her taking my photos. At this time I had no professional photos. I was kind of nervous at first, but as soon as I got into the swing of things I felt like I was in a safe place. Since that day, I have taken my modeling career and shot it in all kinds of directions. Whether it be from horror, to lifestyle, to natural lighting, to implied, to anything alternative and tattooed related. My favorite way of shooting would be anything tattooed related. I have adorned my body with a ton of time, patience, pain, and good money. Money well spent I’d say. I am overjoyed to have friends, family, and people on the outside admire my body art. I have had the honor of meeting and getting to know my current artists and have them lay down their idea of what tattooing should look like.

Joey: What magazine cover would be a dream of yours to be on?

Heidi: Most CERTAINLY Bound By Ink. My homeboy Andy Hartmark is their lead photographer, and in my opinion, one of the best damn photographers out there.

Joey: Tell us about any new tattoos you have?

Heidi: Well… I am having my whole entire throat done tomorrow. Every time I get tattooed I always think thats going to be my most favorite…until I get tattooed again and claim THAT one is my favorite. Easily, my portrait of my passed beloved is my favorite. I say this because truly to me, that is the highest form of respect, love, and loyalty, and I am MOST CERTAINLY a person that possesses all of those traits. A tattoo that marks a special moment, feeling, or experience in time outweighs all of the other pieces that someone will get.

Joey: What would you say is your most defining feature?

Heidi: Physically? I’ve been told I have a pretty killer stomach. I work really hard on my core. I love sculpted obliques. Hard work pays off!

Joey: What actor would you want to play your love interest in a movie?

Heidi: Bruce Willis…. 20 years ago. HAHA!

Joey: What makes you feel sexy?

Heidi: Waxing my mustache haha! And when my boyfriend wraps his big, strong, tattooed arms around me. It makes me feel like a midget! 🙂

Joey: If you were a candy bar, what would you be and why?

Heidi: Probably a Snickers, because I’m always laughing and I’m a bit nutty.

Joey: Heidi thanks again, it’s a real pleasure! Any final words or shout outs?

Heidi: Sure no problem! 🙂 Real stoked on my feature, and honored to be recognized! I think everyone needs a little recognition here and there for all of the hard work they put in. Whether its a photographer on set, a hair and makeup team to help glamify their model, and of corse the wonderful designer/company who provides all of the stellar wardrobe and/or accessories to help make the collaboration COHESIVE and successful! Special thanks to Chris Ferrill of Tattwo Apparel for sponsoring me and supplying some kickass gear for my upcoming collaborations. If you guys haven’t checked out his work yet, you SHOULD…gear supplied for all tattoo lovers nationwide!   Check it out on Facebook, Tumblr, Instagram, ETC!

Also, to my Lord and savior and my wonderful family for telling me if something makes me happy, to reach for it, and for never once judging me and accepting every inch that I am. I’m lucky to have a family that can look past all of my flaws, tattoos, piercings, dumbo sized ears, and colored and/or shaved head to see ME.

Joey: I love your pics…beautiful! What type of shoots are your favorite?

Kitty: Definitely the more casual feel. I’m happiest in trainers! Although I loved shooting in Latex. One of the best things about modeling is getting to play different roles in every shoot. I love to jump around a lot in shoots, which isn’t quite as easy in heels.
